This is a very selfish world where no one cares if you’re hungry, naked or homeless or all three altogether. So no one comes to your rescue and you have to rely on your own poor self to solve your problems because the world is too busy looking after their lives and gossiping about others’ lives.
But there are times when even you don’t have the means to support or help yourself. These times can be quite testing and those when patience is all you have and only time will tell what lies ahead of you. How would you feel when you have no means to buy new clothes or even buy just one meal per day? What if in those times, out of the blue, a stranger stopped by and put a reassuring hand on your shoulder, offered you food or clothes or even some dollars as a token of kindness. Would that make you hysterical?
Has this ever happened to you? It is always good to share such positive events and happenings to show the world that such humanity still exists in people and there are still good people out there who do care for fellow human beings. That’s what happened at a local hair saloon. They gave a free haircut to a homeless man, Jose Antonio. After a good chop chop, some trendy clothes and smearing some cool dye and gel in his hair, a hunk walked out of the saloon. Guess what no one could recognize it was the man himself; Jose Antonio now called Josete by the locals.
Jose had been on the streets for 25 years and was literally teary when he himself couldn’t recognize himself in the mirror after the saloon session. The owner of La Salvajeria Saloon invited Jose to come and clean himself but Jose was shocked when he got the hair treatment and so were the locals when Jose hit the streets.
The saloon staff recorded the entire transformation and the local TV channels aired his story which helped him a great deal in getting financial support from NGOs and now he is off the streets and somewhere so much better.
Meet Jose Antonio a former streets dweller from the streets of Palma Spain.
He was living on the streets for 25 years, earning a minimum wage by helping locals park their cars.
The owner of La Savajeria Saloon invited Jose to clean himself up.
Due to so much time in the streets, Jose’s hair was thick, rough and damaged and it was difficult to cut them.
They dyed his hair dark brown, trimmed his hair and beard.
Locals provided him with new clothes after his transformation; a white shirt and a pair of red cropped pants.
He was not allowed to see in the mirror during the hair session. It was covered so get him surprised.
As soon as the mirror was revealed, Jose was shocked and became hysterical at the sight of his transformed look.
He had forgotten how he looked. It was an intense and emotional moment for him/
Locals in town who knew him were stunned to see him and couldn’t recognize him
In an interview, Jose said that this not only transformed his looks but also his life.
It took a while for the locals to recognize him, but as they did, he was blushing with the amount of compliments he got. They made his day and life!
